    In order to fully exert the advantages of Ningbo's port, foreign trade business and manufacturing industry, the government of Ningbo decides to build up an international trade platform and give priority to the development of service industry, which takes international business trade as its main item. The government also intends to build an area that centralized the functions of international business trade. Economic Cooperation Bureau.

       At present, the construction of the halls of permanent show centre has been completed and it will be put into effect at the end of 2006. The show centre building can be divided into two functional areas: exhibition area and office area. Floor 1st to 3rd are exhibition areas; there are more than 1,200 standard booths and 200 display cabinets, which contain 300 manufacturers and trading companies. Floor 4th to 6th are office areas which have more than 17,000 square meters and it can hold almost 200 trading enterprises that specialized in purchasing.

      The orientation of the exhibition area is for electrical appliances, by the time, the Customs, Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, logistics and transportation, financial settlement, inspection, authentication and other backup service will all be equipped in the surrounding area. The enterprises that settled here will enjoy preference policies, including free or discount of the rental, the return of the imposed tax and etc.. The operation company is Ningbo International Investment & Development Co., Ltd. will also spend quite a lot of money in attracting global professional purchasers. They will also cooperate with the associations such as China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery & Electronic Products and China Household Electrical Appliances Association. The center will become their exhibition base and information center. In this area, it can arrange short-terms exhibition and professional activity.
